Time for a trip!

Lately I've been feeling like I'm doing the same old things day after day. I know it sounds strange, being that I live in another country but I've become quite used to the way of life here. We go for coffee, watch a movie, walk along the sea, go to Gazi (an area with many bars and clubs), visit the marina, etc. Not that I don't love all of these things but I feel its time for another adventure! Since the aupair salary isn't the highest and I'm trying to save some for my trip back to the states this summer Jess and I have decided to look into taking a trip to one of the islands near by. There are many ferries that go every day and they aren't too expensive (30-50 euros). We have thought about going for just a day trip but both of us feel the need to get out of the city for awhile so we're now we've decided to spend the whole weekend instead. After spending some time researching which place to go we've chosen Paros! It is south of the mainland and about a 4 hour ferry ride. Since it is the off season we found a really cute and nice hotel for only 70 euros for 2 nights! We were going to go the second weekend in March but we decided we couldn't wait that long so we're going to go the first weekend instead :) Not sure exactly what we'll do there but it is supposed to be a nice area to walk around and possibly take a horse riding trip! Can't wait!!!!!

  2. Hi Breeynn-

I'm the editor of Expat Arrivals.com (http://www.expatarrivals.com), a site devoted to developing comprehensive destination guides aimed at easing expat transitions abroad. I came across your blog through the course of my research for Greece, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in being interviewed (via email questionnaire) about your expat experience. We find it's always helpful for other's to read about the personal experiences of people in their future destination, and so we're trying to collect as many interviews as possible.

Thanks for your time and consideration, I look forward to hearing from you.

    Best-

  3. Hi,
    Nice blog by the way.
Paros is a great island and i'm sure you will have a great time.Somehow, Paros has managed to be the first summer vacation spot for many young people from Athens. It was mine too, many years ago. I haven't been there for many years.
Try to visit Antiparos, a small island next to Paros. I simply adore it!
    Hope you have fun
